I was in town for a conference and did some digging and research before deciding on King, an artist at this shop. Their work is displayed on social media and I reached out via text to schedule an appointment. King has an assistant who handles his booking, but it was pretty straightforward. $100 deposit that goes towards your total, $150 per hour, 2-hour minimum. It's been a while since I've had an ink session but was pretty sure I would only need 2 hours for what I was getting. Once deposit was paid, I received a booking text that confirmed...

Artist was consistently late, then once there, he would actually size and copy and then say he hadn't eaten and be right back. After an hour or so I would find him lounging in the break room, in no hurry. Then he would finish his lunch and meander on back. Then he would take time to pick out the ink...long story short, I spent more time waiting for him than I ever did in the tattoo chair. But he is quite talented, so I always tipped him well, once I tipped him 100 percent. And always at least 50 percent....

I came in as a walk-in appointment and was told that Alejandro would be my tattoo artist. I was informed he was on his way but stuck in traffic. Unfortunately, I waited for an hour and a half, and he never showed up. The staff member who was there was very kind and professional but didn't have any availability to assist me. I would have liked to give them a chance, but ultimately, I decided to go to another studio.
