Black Dagger Tattoo

I was tattooed by James Shepherd at Black Dagger a couple weeks ago, and it was the best tattoo experience I've had. The shop was super clean, and everyone working there was welcoming and kind. I felt totally comfortable the entire time even coming in by myself as a woman. James is just built different as an artist. We had one consultation and from that conversation he drew this incredible piece that exceeded my expectations. His work is true art and I cannot tell you the amount of compliments I get on this tattoo. It's stunning in so many ways...

This is a fantastic tattoo shop. Their excellent craftsmanship is executed well, they work through several ideas and work with you on designs, and they always make sure you are comfortable during the session. @mirandojoontattoo did a friendship tattoo for a friend and I when she was still an apprentice back in October '22 and it was an outstanding process. Highly recommend!

I got my first tattoo at Black Dagger, from Royce Williams. The experience could not have been better. The parlor is a fun, friendly environment (plus Micklethwait BBQ is next door). Royce was very easy to work with, even on small details like the angle of the tattoo. I am on day 4 and the tattoo is healing beautifully. I would, and will 100% be going back for more ink. If you are on the fence, just do it!
