I came to Black Sparrow for a memorial for my 5 year old daughter that passed last year. My tattoo artist was Nick Santiago. I only a few specifics. Olivia loved butterflies, bubbles, minnie mouse and firetrucks... and that I wanted the tattoo to be amazing! Nick told me that he would take care of the rest! When I saw the drawing for the first time... I was in complete awe and it brought tears to my eyes!!!! It perfectly depicted my beautiful Olivia! I am in LOVE with the finished product! Also, the staff and atmosphere at Black Sparrow...
I have been going here for tattoos for about 3 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone at black sparrow is extremely friendly and welcoming. Even when I first started going they all instantly made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They take a lot of pride in their work by personalizing each and every tattoo and I can't say enough good things about them. (even though I leave in pain every time LOL)
I dont recommend this shop for cover ups or good line work. I first came in to do a cat, it went ok but changed the eye shape. It was meant to look cute/soft not angry. I gave this shop another try which was a HUGE MISTAKE. I wanted to black out the web but got talked into doing a "rose" instead. I never wanted roses but was open to any ideas as long as it covered (clearly doesn't). He didn't put the stencil on the spot where the leaves are so I was surprised to see he changed it...
