Butterfat Studios

I am a tattoo artist with seventeen years of experience at various street shops and private studios. In the last year I have been lucky to guest at Butterfat twice and also get tattooed by the owner, Esther Garcia. This is the most beautiful and comfortable tattoo studio I have ever been to. I only aspire to make mine as lovely as Butterfat. Esther is a brilliant artist, and I would trust her with any part of my body. She already got my neck. Absolutely fantastic people, and space, and some of the very best tattooing in the country.

I've followed ButterStinker since college. I don't remember signing up for their email newsletter, but I'm so glad I did. I found Amya from an email last year and quickly booked an appointment for when I also happened to be in Chicago (it was fate!). I'm so impressed and happy with the work we've been doing towards my vision. Thank you so much! Excited to continue to expand.

Esther is an amazing artist and the consummate professional. She ensured my comfort throughout the process and made my 8th tattoo the best experience I've ever had. I honestly can't see going to another tattoo artist. She really is stellar!
